Contacts Orgs FAQ

What is the difference between a contact and an organization?
An organization is the account/company record; contacts are people who always belong to one via their linked organization. Organization pages roll up related contacts, deals, contracts, and campaigns in one place.
What statuses can a contact have?
Active, Inactive, or Do Not Contact. Use Do Not Contact to stop outreach without deleting history. Organizations instead track customer_status (Prospect, Active, Churned) and a health score.
How do I clean up duplicate contacts?
The module can find duplicates by matching email, phone/mobile, and shows them for review. Merging keeps the chosen winner, redirects linked tasks, deals, and WhatsApp chats to it, and deletes the loser.
Who can merge contacts?
Merge is treated as a destructive action and requires the delete/manage action on contacts — by convention System Manager and Sales Manager roles.
Why does the header show "linked" and "with email" counts?
Those KPIs measure data completeness across all your visible contacts: how many have an email address and how many are attached to an organization. They are computed over every matching row, not just the loaded page.
What does bulk edit change on organizations vs contacts?
Contact bulk edit supports status and contact owner; organization bulk edit supports health score and organization owner. Everything else is edited per record.
