Invoicing Commissions FAQ
What lives in the finance module?
Invoices (with Zoho Books sync), collection aging, client health scores, NPS/CSAT surveys, client onboarding templates, and commission (incentive) reports for BD owners.
How do invoices stay in sync with Zoho Books?
Creating an invoice with Sync to Zoho pushes it through Zoho (requires integration manage permission plus sourceType/sourceId), stores the zoho_invoice_id, and pulls back Zoho's number and status. You can also refresh any synced invoice or sync all deal-linked invoices.
What invoice statuses exist?
Zoho's vocabulary: draft, sent, viewed, overdue, unpaid, partially_paid, paid, void. Recording a payment updates balance automatically — full payment flips status to paid, partial to partially_paid.
What is the collection summary?
An aging view of every unpaid, non-void invoice with positive balance bucketed by days past due (current, 30/60/90, 90+), normalized into the workspace default currency.
How do commission reports work?
Each report covers a period per BD owner with incentive %, eligible gross profit, achievement vs target, and calculated incentive, moving through draft → review → approved → paid. Reps see their own reports read-only; approving requires finance manage permission.
What does creating a payment follow-up task do?
It creates a High-priority task titled "Follow up payment: <invoice number>" due in 24 hours, linked to the invoice's deal and organization, with the outstanding balance in the description.
