Tasks Blueprints FAQ

What are tasks used for?
Tasks are the cross-module to-do system: they can link to a lead, deal, contact, or organization, carry a status (Open, Working, Pending Review, Done, Cancelled), priority (Low/Medium/High), due date, and can be assigned to a teammate or a vendor.
What are task templates / blueprints?
The workspace ships checklist templates per service division (branding, content, technology, marketing). They are injected automatically when a deal reaches a Won stage — for example "Brand Kickoff & Questionnaire" for branding pipelines — so delivery work starts without manual setup.
How does the board's workstream filter work?
The board groups tasks into workstreams such as sales, campaigns, vendor_delivery, contracts, finance, hr, and operations so each team sees its own slice of the same task pool.
What does "blocks deal progress" mean?
A task flagged as blocking prevents its related deal from being closed Won while it is not Done. The deal update fails and names every blocking task.
Can a task change a deal automatically?
Yes — if a task has triggers_deal_stage_change with a target stage, completing it moves the linked deal to that stage (and won-targets trigger template injection too).
What shows in my "attention" list?
Your own open tasks that are overdue or due today, ordered by due date then priority (High first), each labeled with its linked record.
