Lifecycles Troubleshooting

Symptom: No Lifecycle Studio / no New lifecycle button

Cause: Studio requires settings:manage; without it the definitions surface is hidden.

Fix: Ask a System Manager for access or for the definition change itself.

Symptom: Stage ribbon missing on a record

Cause: The record type has no lifecycle bound, or your role cannot read the bound definition state.

Fix: Confirm with a System Manager that a lifecycle is bound to that record type, and check your module read access for it.

Symptom: Transition stays disabled after finishing the checklist

Cause: Required actions or draft-template artifacts may still be pending — the workbench can require more than checklist completion.

Fix: Open the Stage Workbench and complete every required action and required draft before retrying the transition.

Symptom: Event search finds nothing for a known record

Cause: Events are keyed by definition and correlation — searching the wrong definition filter, or a record that transitioned under an older definition version, misses.

Fix: Clear the definition filter, search by record id, and check which definition version the record ran under.
