Leads Troubleshooting
Symptom: "No read/edit/delete permission for leads" error
Cause: Your role's permission matrix entry for the leads module lacks that action, or your access level is none.
Fix: Ask a System Manager to grant the action on leads in Settings → Roles. Actions map to buttons: read = list/detail, edit = status changes and conversions, delete = bulk delete.
Symptom: Promote to Deal fails with a permission error even though leads work fine
Cause: Promotion writes an organization, a contact, and a deal, each gated by its own module permission.
Fix: Verify you have edit on leads plus create access on organizations, contacts, and deals, then retry.
Symptom: Bulk update says "One or more leads are unavailable for bulk update"
Cause: The whole selection must resolve under your owner scope. If any selected lead belongs to another owner (or was deleted), nothing is written.
Fix: Clear the selection, reload the list, and re-select only leads visible to you. With "own" scope, select only leads you created.
Symptom: Assigning an owner fails with "Choose an enabled internal owner."
Cause: Bulk triage validates the target against enabled internal profiles; disabled users or external emails are rejected.
Fix: Pick an active teammate from the picker. If their name is missing, ask an admin to enable their profile first.
Symptom: A converted lead still appears in the open queue
Cause: Conversion sets the lead status to Converted but does not delete the row, and the default queue view does not filter by status.
Fix: Filter the queue by status (for example, exclude Converted/Lost) — or use the Unassigned/Mine owner filters to focus on actionable leads.
